Product detailed description

Amazonia Raw Protein Daily Nourish

Protein with a high content of minerals and vitamins. It's a convenient way to replenish essential ingredients for the whole family. Its nutritional values and folic acid content make it especially suitable for pregnant and nursing mothers.

The protein contains a blend of 14 vitamins and minerals only from natural sources, fiber, 24 g of sprouted and fermented vegetable protein. It contains 50% of the daily dose of iron, folate (a natural form of vitamin B9), other B vitamins and zinc to improve fertility and reproduction. It is based on organic sprouted and fermented vegetable protein from yellow peas. Thanks to germination, the protein contains many more beneficial substances and is easily digestible. Fermentation is the chemical process of converting natural substances with the help of microorganisms (bacteria and yeasts) and their enzymes into simpler substances that are easier for human digestion. This combination of processes also rids the protein of lectins, which are considered natural toxins. Everything is certified Australian Certified Organic (ACO).

The protein is available in two different flavours: chocolate and vanilla.

  • Sprouted and fermented golden pea protein (24 g per serving)
Organic golden peas are soaked before processing to activate the natural germination process. Germination reduces the presence of anti-nutrients such as phytic acid, which can inhibit the absorption of minerals from the protein. The germination process also makes the protein a rich source of bioavailable iron, phosphorus and zinc. The food is also fermented, increasing the bioavailability of nutrients and making the protein gentle on the digestive system. Pregnancy is a period of rapid growth and development for both mother and child. The need for protein during pregnancy increases by 30% and is particularly important during the last two trimesters, which is when fetal growth leaps.

  • Natural vitamins and minerals - lucuma / cacao, 74+ trace minerals, marine magnesium, spinach extract, broccoli extract, carrot extract, beetroot extract, tomato extract, shiitake mushroom extract, apple extract, cranberry extract, cherry extract, orange extract, blueberry extract, strawberry extract.
14 vitamins and minerals naturally derived from fruits and vegetables. Cocoa is an antioxidant. Carrots contribute to normal blood glucose levels. Apples contribute to normal bowel function and weight control. Blueberries contain antioxidants, contribute to normal vision, normal blood glucose levels, and normal vascular function. They also contribute to the formation of collagen in the eye and the normal state of the stomach lining. Cherry contributes to normal excretion. Orange contributes to the normal function of the respiratory system and weight control. Strawberries contribute to normal digestion.

Lucuma, spinach, broccoli, beetroot, tomatoes, shiitake, cranberries and orange have no authorised health claims in the EU.

  • Vitamin B1, B2 and B3
During pregnancy, the mother's need for vitamins B1, B2 and B3 increases by about 30%. Vitamin B1, or thiamine, contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal nervous system function, normal mental function and normal heart function. Vitamin B2, or riboflavin, contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal nervous system function, maintenance of normal red blood cells, normal skin and vision. It also contributes to normal iron metabolism, protection of cells from oxidative stress and a reduction in the rate of fatigue and exhaustion. Vitamin B3, or niacin, contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal nervous system function, normal mental function, normal skin condition and a reduction in the rate of fatigue and exhaustion.

  • Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal nervous system function, normal protein and glycogen metabolism. It also contributes to normal mental activity, normal red blood cell production, normal immune system function, regulation of hormonal activity, and a reduction in fatigue and exhaustion.

  • Folate
A natural form of folic acid that is absolutely essential in the first weeks of pregnancy. The neural tube develops very early in pregnancy. Often this happens before a woman even knows she is pregnant. For this reason, it is important for a woman to have the optimal amount of folate included in her diet at least a month before becoming pregnant. Folate contributes to the growth of germ tissues during pregnancy. It also contributes to normal synthesis of amino acids, normal blood formation and is involved in the process of cell division.

  • Beta carotene
Beta-carotene is a pro-vitamin form of vitamin A. This means that it is up to the human body how it can convert beta carotene into vitamin A, and the human body will only convert the amount it needs based on its current stores. Since the body converts beta-carotene to vitamin A only when needed, supplementing with beta-carotene during pregnancy is safe and does not cause hypervitaminosis (vitamin A overdose), which is dangerous during pregnancy.

  • Vitamin E
Vitamin E helps to protect cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin E requirements increase by 57% during breastfeeding.

  • Vitamin C
Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise. It contributes to the formation of collagen for normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth. It also contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal mental activity including the ability to concentrate, learn, remember and think. Vitamin C, also increases iron absorption, reduces the rate of fatigue and exhaustion and helps to protect cells from oxidative stress.

  • Iron
Iron deficiency and loss is relatively common in mothers during pregnancy, so it is important to get enough iron in the diet. Iron contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal red blood cell and haemoglobin production, normal oxygen transport in the body and normal immune system function. It contributes to reducing the rate of fatigue and exhaustion and is involved in the process of cell division.

  • Zinc
Zinc contributes to normal acid and base metabolism, normal carbohydrate metabolism, normal cognitive functions, normal DNA synthesis, normal fertility and reproduction, normal metabolism of macronutrients, fatty acids and vitamin A. It contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, hair, nails and skin and to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. It also contributes to the normal function of the immune system, normal vision and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

  • Calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium
Calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium are important electrolytes. Phosphorus contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal function of cell membranes. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. Calcium contributes to normal blood clotting, normal muscle function, normal function of nerve transmission and normal function of digestive enzymes. It is necessary for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth and is involved in the process of cell division and specialization. Magnesium contributes to the reduction of fatigue and exhaustion, electrolyte balance, normal energy metabolism and normal nervous system and muscle function. It also contributes to normal protein synthesis, normal bone and joint health, normal mental function and is involved in the process of cell division. Potassium contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, normal muscle function and contributes to the maintenance of normal blood pressure.
